Re: Spinnaker on newer Windows

I have ran it on Windows 2000 and Windows Xp but had to install a watchdog script to keep it up and running because it crashed every few hours.
I have it running now on Windows 98 and having much better luck.

Re: Spotlight User Editor

Got it updated, thanks, but still not reading. Do you see users? Think it might be a Y2K problem? I see what your talking about now, did not notice this because I never use it. It will allow you to add new users but will not show the users list of all your system users on Spot. I can add a new user...

Re: Spotlight User Editor

I loaded the 3.0 and the the TPPatch.

I then upgraded to ver 4.0 with the Spot Patch, and then used the 4.5 patch to patch the 4.0 version.

I am attaching the Spotlight 4.0 and the 4.5 patch.

Let me know if this does it for you.

Re: Spotlight User Editor

Hey Norm,

I am running Searchlight 5.1 and Spotlight 3.0 which I downloaded here form the files area.
You have to run the Turbo Pascal TPPatch on it before it will run. You can download it at:

http://www.pcmicro.com/elebbs/faq/rte200.html

This works for me anyway..

Hope this helps.

EZ-Rom CD-Rom Door - registeration

I'm in the process of installing EZ-Rom CD door to host all my old shareware CD's online but I don't have a registration key for the program.
The author no longer supports it and I can't find a register code anywhere.. Anyone got any ideas as to what I can do??

Thanks.

Re: SLBBS v5.02 Telnet

I got it fixed. I was using an older version of Netfoss and once I upgraded the file transfers work great.

I have spent weeks on trying to figure this out.

YeeeHaw!

Re: SLBBS v5.02 Telnet

Logged in to your BBS and was going to test to see if file downloads were working on your system.
Have you tested this? I got nothing but CRC errors.. If your is working I would love to know or get
a copy of your setup.

Thanks.

Re: Searchlight BBS and Telnet

yea, that is pretty much the setup I am using now except I am using TelSrv instead of GameSrv. However, I have not yet been able to get a working file transfer with anything I have tied including the FDSZ setup as posted in the installation doc. I have all my doors working and telnet connections wor...

Searchlight BBS and Telnet

I was just wondering if ANYONE has successfully been able to setup SL with the built in telnet features? I have tried this on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and the telnet feature just does not work. I now use a third party tool called TelSrv that is doing the trick but file transfers don...
